Chocolates

Truffles by Gemma uses only the finest couverture, including:

  • a very smooth dark chocolate with a high cocoa content: deliciously chocolatey and not at all bitter (73.5% cocoa);
  • a lighter, well-balanced dark chocolate with a fruity taste (61% cocoa);
  • a smooth, high cocoa milk chocolate (41% cocoa); and
  • a silky white chocolate with a high milk content: not too sweet even for dark chocolate lovers (38% cocoa).

The couverture is made in Venezuela from criollo and forastero cacao beans which have been organically and naturally grown.

To make the truffle centres, the couverture is blended with fresh organic cream, infused with unusual, natural flavours such as teas, herbs, spices and fruits, with seasonal variations. The aim is to use delicate flavours to bring out the taste of the chocolate and to give you a unique, mouth-watering sensation.

Each truffle centre is then cut and dipped in the melted couverture to give a smooth, even finish. The process is entirely done by hand. This ensures that, although every chocolate may not look exactly the same, each one is crafted to perfection and will taste delicious.

The chocolates are presented in beautiful modern gift boxes.
